WHAT: 2019 Taste of Annandale

The Taste of Annandale is a community festival set for Oct. 5, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Tom Davis Drive in the heart of Annandale, Va. That’s the street between Columbia Pike and John Marr Drive.
Plans for the 5th annual event include a 5K race, live music and dance, restaurants, food trucks, expanded beer garden, children’s entertainment and games hosted by the ACCA Child Development Center, a chili cook-off, best-dressed pet contest, law enforcement display, free dental exams for kids, and vendors.
People coming to the Taste of Annandale are encouraged to park in the Kmart parking lot on John Marr Drive. There are more than 300 spaces available, and it’s just a short walk to the festival.
Parking is also available at United Baptist Church at 7100 Columbia Pike and Annandale United Methodist Church at 6935 Columbia Pike.
The Taste of Annandale is all about bringing the community together and shining a spotlight on the businesses and organizations that make their home here.

9:30 a.m. – 5K race starts, Kmart parking lot
10 a.m. – Sunsook Lee, traditional Korean percussion
10:10 a.m. – El Rey, mariachi band
10:45 a.m. – Opening ceremony
11:15 a.m. – 5K winners announced
11:30 a.m. – La Decana, Peruvian dance
Noon – Monarca in Flight, aerial dance
12:30 p.m. – Annandale High School Orchestra
1 p.m. – Crescendo Studios performance
1:30 p.m. – Chili Cook-Off winner announced
1:35 p.m. – Best-Dressed Pet Contest
2:10 p.m. – Nanuri Dance Company, traditional Korean performance
2:50 p.m. – The Chinese Culture Institute presents traditional music and dance
3:30 p.m. – Back to Rock of McLean
