Người bỏ phiếu phải xuất trình giấy tờ tùy thân hợp lệ hoặc có thể ký vào Biên bản xác nhận giấy tờ tùy thân.
Việc bỏ phiếu tại lề đường được áp dụng cho những cử tri đủ điều kiện .
Những người bỏ phiếu vắng mặt qua thư có thể bỏ phiếu sớm trực tiếp nếu họ muốn. Nếu quí vị nhận được một lá phiếu qua thư, quí vị phải mang theo và nộp lại để bỏ phiếu trực tiếp. Nếu quí vị nhận được một lá phiếu nhưng không mang theo, quí vị có thể bỏ phiếu tạm thời. Các thùng phiếu qua thư có sẵn trong giờ hoạt động của địa điểm bỏ phiếu sớm.
Đăng ký trong ngày có sẵn từ ngày 16 tháng 10 đến ngày 2 tháng 11 tại các địa điểm bỏ phiếu sớm. Những cử tri nộp đơn Ghi Danh (đăng ký) trong ngày sẽ bỏ phiếu tạm thời.

Early voting starts Sept. 20
QUICK SUMMARY
In-person early voting opens at three county locations this Friday, Sept. 20, expanding to 13 additional locations on Thursday, Oct. 17.
The Mount Vernon Governmental Center, North County Governmental Center and the Fairfax County Government Center are first to open, with newly expanded capacity at the Government Center.
Voters must present an acceptable ID or may sign an ID Confirmation Statement. Curbside voting is available for eligible voters.

In-person early voting is just around the corner in Fairfax County. Beginning this Friday, Sept. 20, in-person early voting opens at three county locations, and expands to 13 additional locations on Thursday, Oct. 17 and continues through Saturday, Nov. 2.
The first three early voting locations are the Mount Vernon Governmental Center, North County Governmental Center and the Fairfax County Government Center, which has newly expanded capacity. “Additional space, ballot check-in stations and voting booths at that location can accommodate more than twice the previous number of voters at one time,” noted Department of Elections Deputy Registrar Cheryl Jones.

Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway, Room 251.
Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturdays (Sept. 21, Oct. 19 and 26, Nov. 2): 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 27: 1 to 5 p.m.
Mount Vernon Governmental Center, 2511 Parkers Lane, Alexandria.
Monday – Friday: 1 to 7 p.m.
Saturdays (Sept. 21, Oct. 19 and 26, Nov. 2): 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 27: 1 to 5 p.m.
North County Governmental Center, 1801 Cameron Glen Drive, Reston.
Monday – Friday: 1 to 7 p.m.

Curbside voting is available for voters with a disability or who are 65 or older. When you arrive, look for the “Curbside Voting” sign near the accessible parking area. Call the phone number on the sign to contact an election officer.

What Identification Do I Need?
You will be asked to show identification when you vote. This can be a photo ID such as your Virginia driver’s license (even if it’s expired), government-issued ID, or Virginia college ID. You can also use a copy of your current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or government-issued document that includes your name and current address.
Vote by Mail
You can apply for a vote-by-mail ballot either online or on paper. For the online application, you’ll need your Social Security number and a Virginia driver’s license or DMV-issued ID.
Alternatively, you can download, print and complete the form, including your handwritten signature, or pick up a preprinted application at Fairfax County governmental centers or library branches.
Submit your completed application via email (AbsenteeBallot@fairfaxcounty.gov), mail (P.O. Box 10161, Fairfax, VA 22038), fax (703-324-3725) or hand deliver (12000 Government Center Pkwy, Suite 323, Fairfax, VA 22035).
Applications must be received by the Office of Elections no later than Oct. 25. Ballots are sent within three business days after your application is approved. Delivery times vary based on the U.S. Postal Service.
Still Need to Register or Check Your Registration?
As of Aug. 31 there are 729,179 registered voters in Fairfax County. Not registered yet? You can use the Virginia Department of Elections citizen portal to register, update your address, apply to vote absentee by mail, join the permanent absentee list, find your polling place or check your voting history. The deadline is Oct. 15 to register to vote or update your name/address to cast your ballot on Election Day. If you miss the deadline, you can complete a same-day registration at any early voting location between Oct. 16 and Nov. 2, in which case you will cast a provisional ballot, to be counted the week following the election.
