Memorial Day Parade and Festival

Join us on Monday, May 28 for the 37th Annual Memorial Day Festival and Parade where over 10,000 people will converge on the City Hall grounds to enjoy food, live entertainment, artisans and vendors from all over the region. It’s a great day for everyone! The parade will be led by this year’s Grand Marshal, Midge Wang.
Current Schedule of Events (subject to change)
9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. — Festival Hours
Children’s Amusements: Moon bounces, pony rides, train rides, and more!
Vendor booths, including civic groups, crafters, and local merchants.
Food and drinks for sale!
9:00 A.M. — Don Beyer Volvo 3K Fun Run
Start line: Great Falls St. at Little Falls St.
No registration required!
Rollerblades and bicycles not permitted
9:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. — Music on the Main Stage
Stage located on on Park Ave. at Little Falls St.
9:00 A.M. — Convertible Jerk Band
11:00 A.M. — Louis the Magician (Children’s Magician)
12:15 P.M. — City of Falls Church Concert Band
10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. — Tours of Cherry Hill Farmhouse

Memorial Day Festival and Parade Page
It’s never too early to start making transportation plans to the Memorial Day Parade and Festival.
Parking
Free public parking is available at the Kaiser Permanente garage (on the corner of N. Washington St. and Park Ave.) and the George Mason Square garage (103 W. Broad St.). Free parking is available on some side streets, but please check signs for time limits.
Visitors to the Memorial Day festivities are reminded to NOT park in private parking lots with posted “No Parking – Towing Enforced” signs, including shopping centers and office buildings. The private lots are for the customers of businesses only. Many businesses enforce parking restrictions on weekends and holidays and may tow without notice. It is possible your vehicle will be towed even if you patronize a business then leave the premises to attend the festival.
Road Closures
Several City of Falls Church streets will be closed to vehicular traffic, or will only be open to local or parade traffic, on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28.
Park Ave. will be closed from 5:30 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. between N. Maple Ave. to N. Virginia Ave. (except for limited vendor traffic)
Little Falls St. will be closed from 5:30 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. between Park Ave. to Great Falls St.
Portions or all of certain streets along the route of the Don Beyer Fun Run will be closed:
Little Falls St.
Great Falls St.
Pennsylvania Ave.
Fulton Ave.
N. Oak St.
Lincoln Ave.
N. West St.
Park Ave.
In addition to the roads listed above being close, please understand that all vehicles located within the perimeter of the Fun Run route will not be permitted to leave during this road closure.
Parade staging areas will be closed to parked cars and vehicular traffic between 5:30 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. on sections of:
Lincoln Ave.
N. West St.
Highland Ave.
N. Oak St.
Greenwich St.
Park Ave.
