Hello again everyone!
This is a reminder that our FINAL planning meeting will be this Sunday, September 15, 11am-12pm at Mason District Government Center (6507 Columbia Pike, Annandale, VA 22003).There are 10 days until the return of our festival! If you have not attended any meetings this season, please send a representative to this one. We will be doing a run through of the event schedule and confirming final details.
Sorry for the delay in sending the minutes from our previous meeting. I will have those out later tonight or early tomorrow morning. Until then, here are some important highlights.
The Setup & Breakdown committee is requesting volunteers to help with the stage. We need at least 6 adults to help lift and carry the heavy pieces. Please contact lacda97@gmail.com if you can assist.
The Outdoor Traffic committee is also requesting volunteers. We need 8 additional staffers to help direct attendees to the designated parking areas. Please contact thanhp1994@gmail.com if you can assist.
We are still accepting performers for the show. The final cutoff will be at the meeting this Sunday. Acts in the past have included magicians, martial arts demos, modern dances, and cultural dances. (Any ethnic background is welcome; we don’t discriminate!)
Although the official deadline has passed, we will still welcome any last-minute businesses that would like to register for booths. For a suggested contribution of $300 they will receive table space, as well as advertising space on our flyers, program booklet, and event-day slideshow.
