[Fairfax Elections] Volunteers needed for historic absentee mail ballot processing effort (Nov 2020)
URGENT NEED FOR VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH HISTORIC ABSENTEE MAIL BALLOT PROCESSING EFFORT
We have an urgent need for unpaid volunteers to help us apply mailing labels to more than 150,000 absentee ballot mail envelopes between Saturday, September 12 and Saturday, September 19.
All work will be done at the Fairfax County Government Center (12000 Government Center Pkwy – Suite 323, Fairfax, VA, 22035). There will be approximately 30 people per room with appropriate 6-foot social distancing between individuals. All volunteers must wear a face mask or face shield.
We need our dedicated election officers to help apply mailing labels for this incredibly large absentee mailing. This is different from recent requests that we have sent out trying to hire paid staff for the overall absentee mail ballot process. That effort continues. This is an effort specifically geared towards recruiting unpaid volunteers who can help apply labels to absentee envelopes between September 12 and September 19.
If you are available, please complete the below form ASAP to let us know which days and times you are available between September 12 and September 19 to help with this historic effort. We will contact you if we are able to use you during the dates and hours you indicate you are available.
If you have any questions about this effort, email CAPStaff@fairfaxcounty.gov.
